SUGAR MOUNTAIN 2015

The 2015 Sugar Mountain lineup has got everyone jumping around in their exceptionally tight jeans. Hailed as Melbourne’s most progressive music and arts festival, this year’s program features some of the most influential, experimental and independent artists of the day. Pull those pants up high kids, we're in for a party!

With it’s oh so appropriate new home at the Victorian College of the Art, Sugar Mountain is set to be another excellent feat' for indie arts. After three successful installments at Melbz’ iconic live music institution, The Forum, Sugar Mountain returns with a much grander format for it’s new venue.

Expanding out to five stages to cater for all of the creative vibes you can possibly handle, it’s easy to see the past 18 months in the making have been time well spent. As ‘the summit’ for art and music we’re expecting big things, and big things we have been promised.

Headlining the music bill is king Nas, performing his legendary 1994 debut LP Illmatic live, alongside some other crowd pleasers such asBody/Head - the new band of Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon, Ariel Pink, Midnight Juggernauts, Twerps and a bunch of other bands that are so bloody cool, you wish they’d hang around all summer.
